Since December 1, 2011, if the parent(s) or grandparent(s) of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada wish to visit their children or grandchildren, a Super Visa could be the best choice.

 

The super visa provides a multiple-entry TRV to eligible applicants for up to 10 years. Started from July 4, 2022, the periods of authorized stay for each individual entry has been extended for up to 5 years.  

 

To be eligible for a super visa, the child or grandchild must provide an invitation letter with promise of financial support for the length of your stay. The applicant must obtain the medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company that is valid for at least 1 year and a minimum coverage of $100,000.
