Temporary Resident Permit (TRP)

To be allowed to enter Canada, a foreign national must be admissible to Canada.

According to Canadian immigration law, under certain circumstances, such as serious criminality, certain health issues, etc., an individual may be deemed inadmissible, which means this particular person will not able to obtain a TRV to enter Canada.

However, under exceptional circumstances, a foreign national even is deemed  inadmissible, he/she may still be able to obtain a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) in order to enter and remain in Canada. For example, a foreign national may be inadmissible due to his/ her criminality, but he/ she could be able to obtain a TRP to have a prearranged medical treatment done in Canada.
